The old recipe. Our family brought it over from Greece, and we still make it with extra-virgin olive oil — the kind that would be just as good on your kitchen table.

Olive oil gives you a low, silky lather rather than big fluffy bubbles, and a bar that feels wonderfully mild. It's the gentlest soap we make and the one with the shortest ingredient list, which is why we hand it to anyone with easily-annoyed skin.

It's also the patient one — olive oil bars cure far longer than most soap before they're ready.
